June 10, 2021
We had a cold front move through Wednesday that has left us with some cooler air in place for Thursday. We have sunny skies but highs only in the 50s at the lake. The good news is that we finally have a day with light afternoon breezes on the lake.
Friday through the weekend we will begin to warm up back towards typical June temperatures. We will also start to see the typical afternoon Zephyr winds from the southwest but they look to remain light through Saturday. The sunny skies should continue through the weekend with highs into the 60s on the lake Friday and then 70s for Saturday & Sunday. Overnight lows in the 40s.
Starting Sunday afternoon into the first half of next week we will see more typical afternoon winds from the southwest, with gusts of 20-30 mph causing afternoon chop and rougher water as you head east across the lake. As usual, right along the West Shore near the Marina is where the calmest water usually are during the afternoon.
The sunny skies and warming temperatures continue for next week. Highs in near 80 degrees by Tuesday and into the mid-80s by next Wednesday. It will feel like summer again.
