Events and Experiences Planned at Homewood Mountain Resort, West Shore Cafe and Homewood High & Dry Marina Make Lake Tahoe’s West Shore a Bucket List Destination This Summer

HOMEWOOD, Calif. – May 25, 2018 – As the summer season gets underway, Homewood Mountain Resort, West Shore Cafe and Homewood High & Dry Marina are prepared to welcome back those who want to spend time on Lake Tahoe’s west shore with ongoing events and experiences that contribute its casual vibe. West Shore Cafe’s new executive chef, Robb Wyss will demonstrate his unique style and creativity with the restaurant’s fresh summer menu, regional events will make Homewood Mountain their host location, the new Tahoe Fusion food trailer will debut at the Homewood Marina and a new event venue will offer expansive indoor and outdoor space for weddings, family functions and corporate meetings.

“Summer has always been a popular season for those visiting Lake Tahoe, and our team is excited to welcome guests back to the West Shore where the mountains meet the lake,” said Kevin Mitchell, general manager of Homewood Mountain Resort, West Shore Cafe and Homewood High & Dry Marina. “We’ve lined up a host of events to animate the weekends at Homewood, created an incredible summer menu offering at West Shore Cafe for those who want to enjoy a spectacular lakefront dining experience, and made it easy to get out on the water at Homewood High & Dry Marina.”

This summer, Homewood Mountain Resort and West Shore Cafe will serve as a host location to regional events including:

  • 2018 Reno Tahoe Odyssey Run – June 1 & 2
  • Beth Weber Arts & Crafts Fairs – June 22-24 & July 20-22
  • Pacific Fine Arts Fairs – June 30-July 2, July 6-8, August 10-12 & August 31-September 2
  • Lake Tahoe Music Festival – August 22

All of these events will be staged in the resort’s North Parking Lot on West Lake Blvd (SR-28).

West Shore Cafe

Located on the shore of Lake Tahoe, West Shore Cafe is one of few restaurants where dining guests can step off a boat and dine on the pier, directly over Lake Tahoe’s clear water. Offering access to the buoy field and boat valet service, arriving by boat is the ultimate way to experience alfresco dining on Lake Tahoe’s west shore. West Shore Café’s features fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, a stellar wine list and craft cocktails. Refreshed seasonal menus will include exciting items like jackfruit “carnitas” tacos and a Cubano panini for lunch, grilled summer vegetable lasagna and hanger steak pom frites for dinner, and new craft cocktails like the Coco Loco (a take on a pina colada) and Cool Runnings, a cucumber basil gimlet.

Dinner service will resume for the season on May 28, with the restaurant open Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The summer opening will kick off with a week full of specials including $4 Coco Loco cocktails and a Steelhead Trout dish on Monday, and half off dinner entrees Tuesday through Thursday. After this week, weekly specials will be offered to those who sign up for West Shore Cafe’s email list.

Beginning June 26, the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. through the summer. West Shore Cafe offers both indoor and outdoor pier seating all summer long as conditions permit.Reservations are recommended for lunch and dinner service. Dining guests are encouraged to check the restaurant’s website prior to visiting as the restaurant is occasionally closed for weddings and other private events.

West Shore Cafe will serve as host to the Lake Tahoe Music Festival on August 22. The concert will take place lakeside on the lawn and a buffet prepared by the culinary team at West Shore Cafe will be available for purchase. Concert tickets are $30 for adults, children under 12 are free. Gates open at 5 p.m., with the concert beginning at 6 p.m.

Homewood Event Center

d grooms, family reunions, conference events and other groups looking for event space on Lake Tahoe’s west shore have access to a new venue for their next private function. The building that formerly housed the Tahoe Maritime Museum in Homewood, California, located adjacent to Homewood’s North Lodge, features expansive indoor and outdoor space, and is available for year-round events with a full range of catering options from West Shore Cafe.

Featuring vaulted ceilings, large beams and expansive windows offering mountain views, the space reflects the maritime history of the region with a nautical theme. Two hundred fifty people can be accommodated inside, with 4,800 square feet of space available on the first floor, and an additional 1,040 square feet on the mezzanine. The outdoor patio is surrounded by tree cover and is beautifully lit with market lights, offering classic Tahoe ambiance and bringing guests closer to the forest. Homewood High & Dry Marina & New Tahoe Fusion Food Trailer

This summer, the Tahoe Fusion food trailer will be parked at the Marina all summer long, offering boaters and area visitors access to Asian-Mexican fusion cuisine. Far East meets Latin American cuisine in this seasonal menu providing a refreshing but distinctive take on modern fusion eats. Weekend service begins Saturday, June 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tahoe Fusion will expand its service beginning June 30 with its schedule moving to Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In addition to boat storage and launch services, Homewood High & Dry Marina continues to offer a full-service offering including access to fuel at the on-site gas dock, repair, parts, boat sales and cleaning, activation and winterization. 

The Homewood High & Dry Marina is also working toward PCM Premier Dealer certification, to increase the service team’s skill and knowledge of Pleasurecraft Engine Group boats and provide world-class service to compliment the existing partnership with Superior Boat Repairs & Sales.

Homewood High & Dry Marina is located at 5190 West Lake Blvd. in Homewood, CA, and is open seven days a week in the summer, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in May, June and September, and from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in July and August. From October through April, the Marina is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free customer vehicle parking is available in designated areas at Homewood Mountain Resort, located directly across the street from the Marina, and customer boat trailer parking is available for an additional fee.
